World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. item upgrade can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. This bonus could be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example an item with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of their base. While this is usually an excellent thing, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This can boost the defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circular arrows within the item menu. This will roll the item and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has the more value you can get out of each point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you're looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock some perks on your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you use it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. For instance, splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item). The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant, such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to show affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens, or fragments from a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the previous trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they are no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also take into account their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than buying the new one.
